Oral History Training
As a trained oral historian, I offer bespoke oral history training to a variety of projects, museums, community groups, schools, and more. My training provides an introduction to oral history for learners of all levels and covers interview techniques, copyright, ethics of recording oral histories, and, crucially, includes time to practise these skills. I also offer the opportunity to workshop themes, topics, and research questions within my training which can support volunteers and staff to think about the stories they want to record.

Training can be tailored to individual or project needs, and can be provided in a range of formats, including both in-person and online delivery. I also offer ongoing support and consultancy to project teams after training on oral history recording, collection, archiving, and interpretation best practice.
